Jimmy Goes Gastric is all about the journey that my husband (Jimmy) and I are taking through his weight loss surgery process both before and after. It is our goal to provide accurate, first hand information about weight loss surgery, the weight loss experience, and what it is like to go through this as a family. We hope that you will join us as we begin this experience and feel free to add your thoughts, questions, suggestions and comments. Join us as Jimmy Goes Gastric!
Jimmy right after he checked into the hospital for his surgery. 44 lbs lost on the pre-op diet!
If you didn't know, Friday was the day! Jimmy and I went to Heartland bright and early for his gastric sleeve WLS. Everything went amazing and they were even able to take Jimmy back for surgery about an hour early. I have a clip for you today and we recorded around 12 hours post-op. I did the narrating for this clip because Jimmy's throat was dry and a little sore from surgery. I hope you enjoy it anyway :)
Also, today's picture was taken directly after Jimmy checked in for his WLS. We also found out that Jimmy has lost 7 more pounds on the pre-op liquid diet between when he weighed on Wednesday and when they were prepping him for surgery on Friday. So that was really exciting news and a great way to start the day!
So glad to hear everything went good. This is about what I looked like when I had VSG in June 2012. I was out for over 12 hours in and out because those pain meds kicked my butt! LOL God bless :)
This is the total weight lost since Jimmy first started his WLS journey in October 2011.
Here's the breakdown: Jimmy lost 15 LBS regularly, 44 LBS on his two week pre-op liquid diet, and the rest has been post-op weight loss.

Showing my support by taking the Pound Plunge! So here's my weight loss ticker too. I want to not only encourage Jimmy to keep doing great but I want to get in there right beside him and be healthier too.
